HUGO'S FIRST TIME IN THE CHACO

On his first exploratory trip to the Upper Pilcomayo region of Paraguay in June of 2026, Hugo visited several small Criollo and Indigenous communities, meeting many people and learning more about the area. He travelled the region for 2 weeks in preparation for his next visit in the summer of 2027, when he will spend several months in the region conducting his master's research on borderlands livelihoods.
